About Act Now Project

ActNow is a project funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Union which aims to aims to build the capacity of youth workers to better integrate climate change and sustainable development topics in their practice and further development issues into formal and non-formal education systems, based on innovative educational material such as Mobile Augmented Reality Games and Simulation Games recognizing the need for a multidisciplinary approach.

About the Data Controller

PROGEU – PROGRESS IN EUROPEAN UNION – INSTITUTE FOR DEVELOPMENT, Association benefiting from the funding received and the duties assigned to it, in the person of its legal representative p.t., with registered office in Via Federigo Verdinois n. 6 – 00159 Rome, operates as Data Controller and collects and / or receives information concerning the interested party and, therefore, pursuant to EU Regulation / 2016 (so-called GDPR), invites, before communicating any personal data, to read carefully this Privacy Policy because it contains important information on the protection of personal data.

The data controller is the PROGEU – PROGRESS IN EUROPEAN UNION – ISTITUTO PER LO SVILUPPO, located in Via Federigo Verdinois n. 6 (Email: info@progeu.org, PEC-certified email: progeu@pec.progeu.org) Pursuant to article 13 of the GDPR we wish to inform that the personal data provided will be processed by PROGEU in compliance with the legislation, in particular, based on confidentiality obligations, on the principles of lawfulness, transparency, fairness, purpose limitation, conservation, minimization, accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and responsibility (art.5, GDPR).

Cookies

Mode and place of processing the Data

Methods of processing

The Data Controller takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data. The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of this Application (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Data Controller. The updated list of these parties may be requested from the Data Controller at any time.

Legal basis of processing

The Owner may process Personal Data relating to Users if one of the following applies:

  • Users have given their consent for one or more specific purposes. Note: Under some legislations the Owner may be allowed to process Personal Data until the User objects to such processing (“opt-out”), without having to rely on consent or any other of the following legal bases. This, however, does not apply, whenever the processing of Personal Data is subject to European data protection law;
  • provision of Data is necessary for the performance of an agreement with the User and/or for any pre-contractual obligations thereof;
  • processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Owner is subject;
  • processing is related to a task that is carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Owner;
  • processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Owner or by a third party.

In any case, the Owner will gladly help to clarify the specific legal basis that applies to the processing, and in particular whether the provision of Personal Data is a statutory or contractual requirement, or a requirement necessary to enter into a contract.

The Data is processed at the Owner’s operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Data subjects’ rights

If a data subject considers that the processing of personal data relating to him or her as performed via this website infringes the Regulation, he or she has the right to lodge a complaint with the PROGEU pursuant to Article 77 of the Regulation, or else to bring a judicial proceeding against the PROGEU pursuant to Article 79 of the Regulation.
